I went to the unveiling -- Liam Russell (the planning consultant) explained there were no plans to relocate the chalets - only the fishing lockers would have to be moved (again!) -- there would possibly be some "planning gain" which could be used to tart-up the chalets -- it seems more of the beach would be appropriated as the kinks in the Volks Railway are ironed out to straighten the tracks to parallel the road ......
there will be a further exhibition (St George's Church?) -- he assured me the model would include the chalets next time.......
The seafront officers also explained that the wording in the Strategy document was a bit misleading viz-a-vis the chalets: there were no plans to "relocate" them...........
